I’ll Be There

Good morning everyone. How’s your weekend? Good? Mine was good too. It’s one of those days when you feel close to something good in your life and then you have to let it go again. But i am happy, yet nervous, excited, wrecked and fulfilled. But most of what makes me feel good is i will always have friendship, great one in fact, and i wont feel alone.Whispers of "I’ll be there…." and yet i felt my chest was about to burst out trying to covered up how fragile i can be when it comes to this and the closer the day of departure ( of course i am not sure when but soon enough) to move to Bali and the more i am counting how many days i can spent with all of them. So, i have always bring my Lumix Camera everywhere and take picture of whatever i think will I missed about my beloved home town and i promise myself i am going to print it and frame them all in my room wall..I will miss you my friends but remember keep whispering "I’ll be there…" and we shall meet again.

Idul Fitri

Idul Fitri ( Eid Mubarak / Eid Fitri/ Festive Day) has passed but the memories stays. Especially this year, my sister and her family came home after 2 years of absence which means i haven’t seen her for that long..my niece who just turned 6 was amazingly smart and witty, she surprised me many occasions, in a good way of course :) May I say, the ritual before, during and after festive day were exhausting but i enjoyed all the bits and pieces of them. Preparing the house, the menu, special cups we use each year, clean the house together, making rice cakes with chicken curry, rendang, cookies, cakes which i used to make now i dont have time and its still nice to do it between the hectic times at work. We went up to Bukittinggi where my mother home town was, stopped by at "Sate Mak Syukur",the famous and always hectic curried barbeque beef on skewers, and later we visit my grandmother/father’s grave in Koto Gadang, and visit some families. At night, we walked to Jam Gadang and watched the fireworks shows with hundreds other home comers of Bukittinggi. What a thrill. Bottom line is i had fun with my family and old friends who happened to come home for the Idul Fitri as well. It was a fun and healthy break, and i look forward for the next year Idul Fitri with them again. InsyaAllah. :)
